Meet Dr. Matthew Bluemlein (Crystal Lake, IL)

Dr. Matthew Bluemlein received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2012, after graduating from Northern Illinois University in 2007 with an undergraduate degree in biology. Dr. Bluemlein specializes in the treatment of ocular diseases, specialty contact lenses including myopia management, and dry eye care, among other things.

Growing up, Dr. Bluemlein was a long-time patient of Dr. Robinson’s and developed a passion for the field of optometry as a result. He values the importance of establishing trusting relationships while getting to know his patients in order to best serve their eye care.

When not practicing optometry, Dr. Bluemlein enjoys spending time with his two young sons and wife. He enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and watching sports.
